Walker 1781 Restaurant & Bar Turns to Worldpay for Cost Savings and Faster Transactions

Having previously operated an Italian restaurant and other award-winning kitchens over the past 20 years, restaurateur partners Joe Grogan and Grainne Sheridan decided to set a new challenge for themselves – transforming an old tavern on O’Connell Street in the heart of Sligo, Ireland, into the contemporary Walker 1781 Restaurant & Bar.

With a large, local and loyal customer base, augmented by a thriving seasonal tourist trade, Walker 1781 is a well-established family eatery that’s open seven days a week. The bistro provides visitors with varied, traditional lunch and dinner fare and premium drinks – all with a contemporary twist.
