More than 11,000 attendees from 4,500 companies and 85 countries are expected to attend the 2017 U.S. event.
Here’s a glimpse of what Money20/20 2017 has to offer:
The Money20/20 Hackathon
Money20/20 is home to the largest FinTech hackathon in the world. Join more than 500 professional hackers, developers, designers, and entrepreneurs as they compete for the chance to win up to $125,000 in cash and other prizes.
Worldpay is offering a $15,000 cash prize to the winners of their challenge.
Worldpay Hackathon Challenge: Develop an innovative application or solution that enhances either a consumer’s purchasing experience (instore or online) or provides benefit to small or medium sized business owners.
“Small and medium businesses are facing ever strengthening competition from large corporations,” says Worldpay’s Vice President of Innovation and Design, Joe Kleinwaechter. “Part of this competition comes from advancing technology that is sometimes too costly for a small business. We believe that innovation doesn’t have to be expensive. Innovation comes from solving the right problems in ways others haven’t figured out yet.”
“Our APIs give any developer a chance to quickly democratize innovation and make some amazing advances in how small and medium businesses sell their products and services. We think that Money20/20 is the perfect place to launch that innovation.”
Joe is judging this year’s competition. As one of the Money20/20 Hackathon judges, he says he’s looking for three key things:
- Solving Real Problems
- Great Design
The Startup Pitch
