Big expectations for Retail’s BIG Show
Worldpay is returning to the event this year, along with more than 33,000 industry leaders and professionals.
Worldpay US Vice President of Product Strategy Ian VanBuskirk will be attending the show to discuss the payment trends retail merchants should look for in 2017 and what solutions we’re offering to help.
What’s next for consumers? Alternative payment methods.
Our 2016 Global Payments Report found that the global payments landscape continues to grow more fragmented, with many countries shifting toward mobile payments. For the U.S., mobile wallets are projected to grow by 7 percent, overtaking the use of both credit and debit cards by 2020. In addition, alternative payment methods like bank transfers and prepay cards continue to steal market share from more traditional payment options like credit cards.
What’s next for merchants? Omni-channel payments.
To meet the diverse payment preferences of today’s consumers, we launched our newest omni-channel payments platform Worldpay Total in October. Worldpay Total is designed to simplify payments across sales channels by combining point-of-sale, integrated payments and acquiring into a single integration point for merchants, developers and ISVs. At Retail’s BIG Show, Worldpay will be offering live demos.
