Worldpay Executive Director Ron Kalifa named 10th on The EMpower 100 Ethnic Minority Executives List
London — Worldpay is pleased to announce that Executive Director Ron Kalifa OBE has ranked 10th on the EMpower Ethnic Minority Role Models 2018, presented by the FT.
The list showcases the work done by business leaders to promote inclusion and diversity. It rank’s the Top 100 Executive BAME professionals working in the US and UK to realise positive change. For the second year running, Ron impressed the judges who praised him for his continued efforts in raising the profile of the BAME contribution to our society and push continued for progress in creating equal opportunities for all.

All of the 2018 leading ethnic minority role models were nominated by peers and colleagues. Nominations were reviewed by a judging panel consisting of: Ashok Vaswani, CEO, Barclays UK, Barclays; Paul Polman, CEO, Unilever; Vivian Hunt, Managing Partner, McKinsey & Company; Nina Vaca, Chairman & CEO, Pinnacle Group; Linda Yueh, economist, broadcaster and author of The Great Economists, Leyla Boulton, Special Reports Editor, The Financial Times; and Suki Sandhu, Founder & CEO, Involve.

Ron sits on the Worldpay Board of Directors and was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Worldpay for over 10 years. Prior to this, Ron held various executive roles within RBS and NatWest. Ron is regarded as an expert in the card and payments industry and was recognized as “Industry Personality of the Year” at the 2011 Card & Payments Awards for his commitment and contribution to the field. While Ron has significant experience as a CEO within the payments industry, he has also developed key strengths in mergers and acquisitions and strategy development. Ron also sits on the boards of Transport for London, QIWI PLC and Visa Europe. Ron was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year 2018 Honours List for services to financial services and technology.
