Money20/20 USA is regarded as one of the most important days on the payments industry’s calendar. From start to finish, this Vegas event facilitates thousands of meetings, enables the right connections and delivers ground-breaking disruptions across the industry. It truly is an event not to be missed. If you’ve never attended, this short blog will give you a rough idea about what to expect this year.

From Oct. 21-24, more than 11,500 attendees from the entire payments, FinTech world will come together to discuss and create the future of money.

Here’s a glimpse of what Money20/20 2018 has to offer:

The Payments Race

The Payments Race is one of the most exciting elements of Money 20/20! Following successful races across the globe the race is preparing to take on the USA again. From October 18 to 23, 5 social influencers will embark on a race from the Money20/20 offices in New York to Las Vegas and each racer is only allowed to use one form of payment for the entire journey.

How do they win the race? During the competition, the racers will be awarded a series of points, so it's not just a case of "who can get on a flight the fastest”. There are nine challenges along the way, although optional, winning challenges mean winning points, which helps at the end – whether the competitor crosses the finish line in first place or last. At the end, wins who has more points.

Racers are accompanied by a cameraman filming their adventures and live streaming content across social media. As an attendee, you can join racers at the main stage at Money 20/20, where they’ll join a panel to talk about their experience.

We're pleased to sponsor this year's Payments Race and the racer, Brittany Cooper! She’ll be using cards as a payment method and we’re excited to support her! We also have our very own Worldpay racer, Renee Howard, she’ll be using checks to pay for everything throughout her journey. Be sure to support their adventure:
