Working with Worldpay translates to international growth for DMM Eikaiwa’s Engoo
One of the world’s biggest online English language schools boosts global payments acceptance rate to 90%.
Tokyo, 27th September, 2016 – DMM has chosen Worldpay to manage all payments volumes in Asia, Europe, and Latin America for DMM Eikaiwa’s global brand Engoo, its leading online English language service. DMM Eikaiwa has become one of the leading online English language services in Japan just two years after launching, and is aiming to recreate this success around the world with the Engoo brand.
DMM was looking for a payments partner that would enable it to reach students in new markets and give them the freedom to pay in the local currency or method they prefer. For instance, many of the company’s European and Latin American users prefer to pay via bank card or a country-specific alternative payment.
DMM has also extended the range of local currencies they can now accept, including US dollars and Euros.

DMM has also implemented Worldpay’s next-generation payment pages to make transactions simpler and more tailored to the needs of each customer. In addition to credit and debit cards, Worldpay’s payment pages allow merchants to accept over 60 payment types in 32 different languages. This includes the world’s 25 leading payment methods, from Alipay in China, to Boleto in Brazil, to Yandex in Russia.
Since beginning to work with Worldpay, DMM has seen its payments acceptance rate rocket to 90%.
