The PAC Newburn is a new pub in the heart of Newburn, a historic village and suburb located in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the North East of England.

Phil Brown, the owner of the PAC Newburn, divulges that his business occupies the site of a former microbrewery, and went through a major renovation prior to its opening. He adds that, with the exception of hanging the pictures on the wall and choosing the color of the paint, “I built the place from scratch – I'm very proud of it.”

Issues to be addressed

Phil then details the ongoing problems he experienced with a previous payments system.

“In the beginning, we could be 12 deep with customers, and the system would go down or drop Wi-Fi on a regular basis,” he recalls. “People just want to go out, have a beverage, socialize and have fun – they certainly don't want to stand in a queue for too long, but that's exactly what was happening.”
