We previously advised customers to not process contactless transactions offline, and this is a friendly reminder of the Mastercard and Visa mandate to send all contactless transactions online for authorisations in the UK.
How does the mobile card machine work?
The Move5000 mobile card terminal works through both WiFi and 3G. Mobile coverage works over 02, Vodafone, Three and EE. For poor coverage areas the SIM has the fall back option to 2G. It also has the capability to put transactions through using a voice call (GSM) which is useful for areas with poor data coverage but also areas where mobile network can be congested such as events. A Bluetooth base can be purchased to further increase the number of connection methods the terminal can use.
What cards are accepted?
All major debit and credit cards are accepted including Visa, Mastercard, China Union Pay, Diners Club International and Discover. American Express can be added on request.
Are contactless payments accepted?
All our card terminals have contactless built in including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.
What happens if my terminal breaks down?
For customers using Worldpay payment terminals, we offer a Peace of Mind package which, including a fast response terminal replacement service, where we aim to replace faulty or broken terminals within 24 hours.
How long will it take to arrive?
Once your application has been approved and your Worldpay customer number allocated, we’ll aim to schedule the delivery of your terminal within 4 days.
