POS software provider now executes faster and delivers payment and financial solutions tailored to the exact needs of their retail customers.

New West Technologies partners with Worldpay for Platforms to position themselves as “trusted advisor” to merchants

With more than 30 years of experience, New West Technologies is an installer and integrator of point-of-sale (POS) software whose exclusive focus and passion is retail.

Whether it’s a single-store specialty shop, or boutique retailer, a winery tasting room, or a multi-store clothing and shoe seller, the Portland, Oregon-based company’s POS solutions can be tailored to meet the needs of virtually any retail environment.

Challenges

New West Technologies entered the payments space in the early 1990s when retail transactions were more straightforward. “It was quite a bit simpler and much less complicated,” shares Dan King, president of New West Technologies.

Their first payment integration was written in 2003 on the Windows Pocket PC platform, enabling real-time authorization and signature capture on terminal devices. As the payment landscape evolved, so did the complexity of payment integrations and processor relationships.

Legacy solutions presented issues that New West Technologies couldn’t control, affecting their ability to solve problems in real-time for their customer base. Their desire to be “a trusted advisor” – and more importantly, “a problem solver” – for their clients drove New West Technologies to seek a new payments solution.

When customers called with questions, feature requests, or issues, New West Technologies wanted to be able to respond quickly and confidently, without relying on slow or unresponsive third-party payment partners.

Worldpay for Platforms

Partnering with Worldpay for Platforms provides New West Technologies with flexible, dynamic payments.

Worldpay for Platforms’ Referral Payments solution, responsiveness and collaborative spirit empowered New West Technologies to execute faster and deliver payment and financial solutions tailored to the exact needs and wants of their retail customers.

“We can execute faster, and that helps us get more clients quicker,” notes Dan.
