Euronics is the largest electrical buying group in Europe, with 30 member countries across the continent and 11,000 specialist stores and branches reaching 600 million consumers.
Euronics consists of a network of “Euronics Agents,” who are local, independent electrical retail specialists. In many cases, they are family-run businesses – some of which have been established for several generations.
One such entity in Mullingar, Republic of Ireland (ROI), is Cleary Electrical. Featuring free delivery, free recycling and expert repairs – plus the Midlands’ largest spare parts department – Cleary Electrical offers various home appliances and prides themselves on their excellent customer service.
According to Gerry Cleary, director/owner, “We are local people looking after local needs and are very proud to be part of our community. We sell all the major brands of cookers and kitchen electrical equipment, dishwashers, ovens, fridges, computers, TV and audio systems, washing machines – you name it.”
Payments challenges to be overcome
Gerry is quite forthright about the issues he encountered with his past payments partner.
“My terminals were extremely slow, we had very bad customer service, received no assistance, had no day-to-day contact and my former provider had zero accountability,” he says. “We needed a reliable, fast, handheld card terminal and a clearly identified and helpful point-of-contact to assist us if any issues cropped up.”

Customers aren’t stuck standing around waiting for payments to process, and queues have been noticeably reduced as a result. The dashboard also has everything I need and gives me full visibility into all our payments activity, which has been a prominent change.”
