Worldpay is proud to be a returning sponsor of the ATDC’s second FinTech Hack, a weekend-long hackathon hosted at the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech Feb. 10-12. The event is focused on bringing developers, designers and entrepreneurs together around the Internet of Things (IoT) to create innovative solutions and compete for $100,000 in prizes, including a $79,000 grand prize.
The hackathon will present participants with nine different challenges, five of which are sponsored by Worldpay. These five challenges can help you start thinking about creating seamless payment experiences for everyday situations, including parking and paying bills. You can also go off the board and solve your own challenge.
The participants will use Worldpay’s award-winning APIs to bring their ideas to life. Participants will have access to Raspberry PIs, Arduinos, touch screens, a maker lab, 50 lbs of Legos (yes, Legos!), a wealth of IoT sensors and any Worldpay API feature including vault and recurring billing.
