Our 2016 Global Payments Report found that the global payments landscape continues to grow more fragmented, with many countries shifting toward mobile payments. For the U.S., mobile wallets are projected to grow by 7 percent, overtaking the use of both credit and debit cards by 2020. In addition, alternative payment methods like bank transfers and prepay cards continue to steal market share from more traditional payment options like credit cards.
