At this year’s event, Worldpay US was named the Judges and Customers Choice for Best Payment Service Provider. The Best PSP award recognizes the company whose PSP model provides e-commerce and m-commerce merchants with the best merchant services and payment processing. Worldpay was specifically highlighted for its ability to support virtually any CNP merchant with among the largest offering of payment currencies and types, platform certifications and proprietary gateway options.
Worldpay US Chief Marketing Officer Sarah Arvin also gave a keynote titled “Anticipating the Digital Payments Frontier” that focused on the “Age of the Customer” – an evolving commercial landscape where consumers reign supreme. Online and mobile payments are dominating this landscape, with digital wallets expected to become the most popular payment method by 2019, accounting for $647 billion, according to Worldpay’s 2015 Global Payments Report.
Sarah stressed in her presentation that mobile has evolved to create a payments landscape where consumers are no longer bound by traditional payment methods, referencing that global mobile penetration has increased 39 percent since 2009. To win in mobile payments, she emphasized, requires a customer experience built on simplicity, multi-channel convenience and trust.
