Worldpay appoints Sir Michael Rake as Chairman

Worldpay is pleased to announce that Sir Michael Rake will become Non-Executive Chairman on 1 September 2015, subject to regulatory approval. He succeeds John Allan who announced in May this year that he was to step down as Chairman. John will remain a Non-Executive Director of Worldpay.

Sir Mike brings a wealth of experience to Worldpay, having spent 30 years at KPMG where he was Senior Partner at KPMG UK, as well as Chairman of KPMG International. He is Chairman of BT Group plc and Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director of Barclays PLC. He was previously President of the Confederation of British Industry, Chairman of the UK Commission and Skills, Chairman of Business in the Community, Chairman of easyJet plc and a Director of the Financial Reporting Council.
