Philip Jansen - Chief Executive Officer

Philip was appointed as chief executive officer in April 2013, having previously been chief executive officer of Brakes Group between 2011 and 2013. Prior to that he held a variety of senior roles in Sodexo Holdings Limited, latterly as group chief operating officer and chief executive officer, Europe, South Africa and India. Earlier in his career, Philip was chief operating officer of MyTravel plc and managing director of Telewest Communications PLC. He started his career with Procter & Gamble. While Philip has gained significant international and chief executive officer experience in the international business sector, he has also developed key strengths in business transformation, change management and strategy development.

Ron Kalifa - Vice Chairman and Executive Director

Ron was appointed as vice chairman and executive director in 2013, having previously been chief executive officer of the organisation for over 10 years. Prior to this Ron held various executive roles within RBS and prior to that within NatWest. Ron is regarded as an expert in the card and payments industry and was recognised as “Industry Personality of the Year” at the 2011 Card & Payments Awards for his commitment and contribution to the field. While Ron has significant experience as a chief executive officer within the payments industry, he has also developed key strengths in mergers and acquisitions and strategy development. Ron also sits on the boards of Transport for London and Visa Europe.

Rick Medlock – Chief Financial Officer

Rick was appointed as chief financial officer in 2015, joining Worldpay from Misys, where he was chief financial officer. From 2004 to December 2013, Rick was chief financial officer of Inmarsat plc and between 1996 and 2004 he served as chief financial officer and company secretary of NDS Group plc. The early part of his career was spent in a variety of roles as chief financial officer of a number of private equity backed technology companies in the UK and the US. Rick is a qualified chartered accountant.

Peter Jackson Chief Executive Officer of Worldpay UK

Peter was appointed as Chef Executive Officer Worldpay UK in March 2017. He was previously Chief Innovation Officer at Banco Santander, where his remits covered Openbank, InnoVentures (a $200m VC fund) and the innovation activities across the Group. Prior to Santander, Peter was Group Chief Executive Officer of Travelex and he has held senior positions at Lloyds Banking Group, Halifax Bank of Scotland, and McKinsey & Company. Peter is a Non-Executive Director of Paddy Power Betfair plc, and a member of their Board Risk and Board Remuneration Committees. He is an active angel investor in fintech, with a board seat at Aire Labs Ltd, and chairs the development committee for Pembroke College, Cambridge.

Shane Happach – Chief Executive Officer of Global eCommerce

Shane was appointed as Managing Director of Worldpay’s eCommerce division in 2016, having joined the Group in December 2010. Shane has over 15 years’ experience in financial services and has significant experience in treasury, M&A and foreign exchange. He has held various management roles across international markets and developed key strengths in strategy, financial planning, and new market entry. Shane is a Board member of Pazien, a Worldpay-backed leader in data and analytics.

Kim Crawford Goodman – Chief Executive Officer of Worldpay U.S.

Kim joined Worldpay in November 2016. Kim has more than 25 years of experience in driving growth, leading innovation, and delivering breakthrough business performance across multiple industries, including financial services and technology companies. She was previously president of American Express’ Global Business Travel and president of Merchant Services Americas. Prior to joining Amex in 2007, she held executive positions at Dell Inc. including vice president of Software and Peripherals, vice president of Public Marketing and Transactional Sales, and vice president and general manager of Dell Networking. Kim began her career at Bain & Company where she served as Partner, Manager and a Consultant. Kim holds board positions at Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BRCD) and Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR).

Ruth Prior - Chief Operating Officer

Ruth joined Worldpay in October 2013. Ruth was previously Group Chief Financial Officer of EMI Group and prior to that worked for the private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners as a finance director working across numerous portfolio businesses. Earlier in her career she worked at Whitbread and Bass, after starting her career at Unilever. Ruth has gained significant finance and operating experience across a broad range of sectors with and developed extensive experience in business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and change management. Ruth has a degree in Biochemistry and is a Chartered Management Accountant.

Andy Doyle – Chief Human Resources Officer

Prior to joining Worldpay, Andy worked in a number of different sectors in companies experiencing high growth and change. He was previously Group Human Resources Director for ITV plc, the UK’s leading commercial broadcaster and a FTSE 100 company. He has worked in operational and senior HR executive roles in the UK, Europe and the USA in the technology, real estate, construction and leisure retail sectors. Andy holds a degree in Economics from Loughborough University, is a chartered director and a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Andy’s key strengths include change management, organisational development, talent management/skill development, executive compensation and culture building/organisation development.

Ruwan (Roo) De Soyza – Group General Counsel

Ruwan has over 17 years of legal experience, first as a Corporate and M&A lawyer with Clifford Chance LLP and subsequently in a number of different businesses including Merchant and Retail Banking, Outsourcing and Consultancy. Ruwan is responsible for the provision of legal services to the Worldpay Group and has also been interim Head of Franchise Development and Management since June 2016. Ruwan graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London and is an Associate of the City & Guilds London Institute. He also holds a Diploma in Law from the College of Law, London and is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.

Mark Kimber – Chief Information Officer

Mark joined Worldpay from JPMorgan Chase where he was Chief Information Officer for Europe. Mark has over 20 years’ experience in financial services having held senior roles with JPMorgan Chase and Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers. Mark has extensive experience of building and leading global technology functions where technology platform reliability is business critical. In his last role, he worked with industry regulators to make sure the systems across the bank were compliant with the changing regulatory landscape. Before starting his career at Lloyds Bank on their graduate programme, Mark studied English Literature at The University of Oxford.

Kevin McCarten - Chief Strategy Officer

Kevin was appointed as chief strategy officer in September 2016, having joined Worldpay from Oliver Wyman where he was responsible for the Global Business and Consumer Services practice and was a member of the Oliver Wyman Leadership Council. In addition to 16 years in consulting, advising at board level across a wide range of industry sectors, Kevin has spent 15 years in consumer products industries (Ford Motor Co. and Procter and Gamble), and 7 years at Board level in retail including 5 years as a main board member at J Sainsbury PLC. Kevin holds degrees from Cambridge University and IMD in Lausanne.
