Joining the retail trailblazers at Salesforce Xchange EMEA

2 June 2017 - Yasmin Sharp, Global Partner Director– Retail eCommerce, Worldpay

We always look forward to occasions to come together with our customers and partners, so with our sponsorship at Salesforce Xchange EMEA fast approaching, we’re starting to bite our nails in anticipation.

Salesforce XChange takes place 12 – 14 June and welcomes 1000+ attendees to enjoy 50+ sessions, 30+ keynote speakers, 2 parties and countless opportunities to meet up with leaders in the retail ecosystem.

The Salesforce XChange theme this year is “Be a retail trailblazer”, which got us thinking – what does that really mean to Salesforce, Worldpay and our partnership?

To “trailblaze” means to be a pioneer in any field or endeavour, to be the first to do something, to be an innovator. It’s a really apt summation of how Salesforce have gone about building their business, and how our partnership with Demandware (acquired last year by Salesforce) was developed.

Demandware shaped itself as a leader in the retail landscape, offering a scalable global platform. Salesforce has been a market leader in CRM and cloud computing solutions. Now together, they’re a trailblazing force for the retail market.

Being an innovator has really helped us shape our partnership with Demandware and now Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). We’re venturing into our 6th year of being an SFCC partner, and it’s been an incredible journey!

Having continuously innovated with SFCC and brought measurable benefits to our partners and customers, we’ve implemented the only true cloud commerce platform. And I’m honoured to say the work we have put in has resulted in our second nomination as Global Technology Partner of the Year 2017.

“Trailblazing” also means trying something for the first time, and this year is really a year of firsts for me. This is my first endeavour into a Salesforce event since the acquisition and rebrand of Demandware; it’s also my first visit to Copenhagen – the place the UN World Happiness Report has rated as the happiest place to live on earth two years in a row. I hope it’s infectious!

There’s going to be a lot to soak in, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there! If you’ll be trailblazing alongside us, please get in touch with me at Yasmin.sharp@worldpay.com to meet at the event or to learn more about our market-leading SFCC global payment and fraud management solution.

See you in Copenhagen!
