London, 26 May 2016 – Today Worldpay’s Vice Chairman Ron Kalifa has ranked highly in the inaugural power list of BAME (British, Black, Asian, and minority ethnic) executives, compiled by networking group UPstanding and the Financial Times.

The list aims to showcase and rank the Top 100 Executive BAME professionals working in the US and UK. Ron ranked 50 out of 100 and was scored on his seniority and influence of his role, as well as his individual commitment to driving the BAME agenda inside and outside of the workplace and for his business achievements.

Suki Sandhu, UPstanding founder, said: “We are delighted to see Ron Kalifa from Worldpay featuring in the inaugural UPstanding Executive Power List. Ron is a true role model, setting an example for the next generation so no one sees their race as a barrier to success.”

Ron Kalifa, Vice Chairman of Worldpay, said: “I am proud of Worldpay’s commitment to act as a progressive and inclusive employer. We aim to ensure our workforce reflects the diversity of our global customer base, and we have a long standing commitment to bringing out the best in people while fostering a sense of community and belonging. Initiatives like this are a powerful statement that attitudes are changing and we are making genuine progress.”

All nominations were reviewed by a judging panel consisting of Suki Sandhu and Sophia Cannon, founders of the UPstanding Executive Power List. Other judges included senior executives from the Financial Times, Unilever, The Economist, Barcalys UK and Pinnacle Group.
