Play’n GO and Worldpay join forces for more flexible gaming payments

Leading gambling platform provider to support further customisation in mobile gaming
Monday, March 30, 2015

London, March 2015 – Payments leader Worldpay has partnered with Play’n GO to deliver a new platform that will enable gaming operators to support a broader range of payment methods and currencies and develop a more customised gaming experience.

Integrated with the Worldpay WebDollar payment solution, the new Play‘n GO platform boasts a tailored cashier service which supports multiple languages, 30 local currencies as well as 60 preferred payment types. This will help operators to drive customer conversions across a wide range of European markets.

The platform has also been developed with the purchasing habits of players using mobiles and tablets in mind, building on Play’n GO’s history of supporting customers in this space.

Robert Skogh, Business Development Director of Play’n GO said: “We were the first online game developer to move into the mobile arena, and this partnership takes us one step further in pioneering that field. The operators we work with can now operate in 11 different languages, manage payments in multiple currencies, and support their customers’ preferred payment types. We view these advances as crucial to mobile gambling, especially when it comes to delivering a seamless player experience.”

In addition, the new platform enables operators to offer a custom-made gambling service. The combined game account toolkit will enable gaming operators to become more independent and flexible when selecting what games to offer. Play’n GO’s customers will also be able to deliver more choice to players in the form of engaging premium content and access to additional games from third party developers.

Kevin Dallas, Chief Product & Marketing Officer, eCommerce at Worldpay, explains: “Play’n GO understands, as we do, that the ‘have-it-your-way’ approach to customer experience extends to payments as well. People today want to be able to pay for games using whichever medium they feel most comfortable with. With our new partnership, Play’n GO’s gaming partners will be able to support the cards and leading payment methods favoured by their growing global user base, which will go a long way in helping them boost conversions.”
